Care and Support

We all go through times when we need the love, care, and support of others.  One of the wonderful ways the church is a family for one another is the way we care for, encourage, and support each other in times of need...

Pastoral Care

Pastor Cathie provides Pastoral Care for those in the hospital, home-bound, in nursing homes, rehab facilities, assisted living, or hospice. She is also available to meet with those who are going through times of difficulty or crisis for prayer, support, and referrals for ongoing care if needed.  Please let the church office or Pastor Cathie know of hospital admissions, surgeries, illnesses, injury, or other pastoral care needs. Confidentiality and requests for privacy will be honored.

Deacons

Our Deacons are elected members of the church who have particular gifts and calling in areas of compassion, mercy, and helping.  Deacons visit our elderly and home-bound members, provide at-home communion when needed, and seek ways to give comfort and help when they become aware of the needs of church members and others in the community.  If you are aware of a church member or friend of the church in need of comfort or help, please contact the Deacons through the church office.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is a ministry of compassion and presence in those times in life when we may need a listening ear and a compassionate friend (times of grief and loss, times of transition, times of stress, etc.).  Stephen Ministers are not professional counselors, but are trained to be a companion, a listener, and a non-anxious presence for those in difficult seasons of life.  If you are interested in receiving the care of a Stephen Minister, you can contact Pastor Cathie or request a call from the Stephen Ministries Coordinator through the church office.
